One of the main causes of dryer and refrigerator malfunctions, is heat related causes. The compressor in a refrigerator works best with good airflow, when the condenser coils become clogged with dust and dirt, this causes the compressor to work at a much higher temperature. When this happens for long enough it will cause wear and possible failure of parts. Dryers also need good airflow to function. When there is lint buildup in the vent, this causes excess heat to be trapped inside the dryer, and leads to part failure over time. So, take some time soon, to do some preventative maintenance.
